True Crime writer Ann Rule died Sunday evening, July 26. Rule, author of more than 30 books, was 84 and according to a King 5 (Seattle) report passed peacefully: Seattle True Crime Writer Ann Rule Dies
Many reader's know Rule from her first book The Stranger Beside Me, about the serial killer Ted Bundy. Her most recent book, Lying in Wait: and Other True Cases, was published in 2014.
